I have leaned that you should never compromise yourself, or allow yourself to be compromised. This way people around you may disappoint you, but you will always have yourself. the worst kind of pain is the kind that is self inflicted. we forget that the best we can do for the people we care about is to invest in ourselves. no, this is not selfish because it enhances the cycle of love. once we invest in ourselves we increase our capacity to give back and allow ourselves to do so in a more meaningful way.
i have learned to never put too much faith in people, they will invariably disappoint you at some stage. rather, eliminate the element of surprise and dont expect anything from another person.
I have learned to never ever go where you are tolerated. only go where you appreciated, where people are conscious of how much value you add otherwise you are just wasting your time on ignorant people who are not worthy of your presence.
I have learned to never fight or argue with people. only equals do this. either place people above you, where you respect them and learn from them, or place them below you, where you can lead them. this is not arrogance, nor vanity. its accepting that I am phenomenal person and I refuse to cheapen myself for the sake of pleasing people. yes, you can walk with the masses but always behave like a queen. don't allow any one person to get into your head if they do not have the capacity to process your thoughts.
Most importantly I have learned to act from my soul and not just my mind and heart. the heart and mind are the most vulnerable part of one's body however, our souls are inextricably connected to God who will gently guide you and protect you. God First.
